Mark Ahronian founded Ahronian Landscaping and Design, Inc. in 1987. Since the beginning, he has been very prominent in every aspect of the business, the industry, and the community. His passionate approach to each project, being personally involved from design through completion, has helped propel the company forward with great success. With his expertise in plant material, property layout and over 40 years in the industry, he has perfected his ability for accomplishment in landscape design. His commitment to serving the customers with candor and excellence sets a standard for others to follow.
Mark, a Mass. Certified Horticulturist since 1985, has served as president of the Mass. Nursery and Landscape Association, as well as president for the MNLA's scholarship program, which he helped build — The Foundation for Educational Excellence. Mark is the Tree Warden for the Town of Holliston, serves on the Economic Development Committee and is also a board member for the senior center for the town of Holliston. Mark also teaches "Fundamentals of Landscape Design" in the spring and fall at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.
Mark has recently been awarded the Holliston 'Citizen of the Year' in 2011 and he also helped to propel the town towards several national awards with the "America in Bloom" competition. Mark serves as Co-Chair for the Holliston in Bloom committee. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, where he chairs the Education Committee. Mark is a past President of the Holliston Lions Club as well as a recipient of the International Lions prestigious, 'Melvin Jones' fellowship award for showing exemplary service and dedication to his club, his community, and to Lions overall. Mark is a proud graduate from the Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole Ma. as well as the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMASS Amherst.
For over 20 years, Jim Stucchi has played a vital role in the company's growth and achievement. Starting as an intern, while studying at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMASS Amherst, he has climbed to his current position with great enthusiasm. His consistent creativity with site preparation and his project management skills are essential elements to each successful design. A strong desire to exceed customer expectations and his extensive knowledge of both plant and construction materials, has resulted in many highly praised projects.,
Jim, a Mass. Certified Horticulturist since 1999, is currently serving as a director for the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association, also President for a scholarship program, The Foundation for Educational Excellence and as Chairman of the Community Service committee for the Holliston Lions Club. Jim also serves on the Education Committee for New England Grows and is a Task Force member of "Plant Something Massachusetts" campaign.
David Ahronian has been working for over 15 years in the family business, throughout his high school and college experiences, learning all aspects of the landscape business, including design and installation of plantings and hardscapes. David complements our design staff through his skills with computer animated designs.
David Ahronian is a Mass. Certified Horticulturist; graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture and is a graduate of the Stockbridge School of Agriculturewith an Associates in Landscape Contracting. David was enrolled in the Honor Society of Sigma Lambda Alpha, Omicron Chapter, and is a graduate of the Norfolk County Agricultural High School. David currently serves on the Membership committee for the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association.
Christopher Johnston has been working at Ahronian Landscaping and Design since 2009. He started during his high school internship and has been here ever since. During his high school and college internships he was able to learn many facets of design and installation of plantings and hardscapes. Christopher uses his computer aided design skills to create his designs.
Christopher Johnston is a Mass. Certified Horticulturist; graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture and is a graduate of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture with an Associate's Degree in Landscape Contracting. Christopher is a graduate of Holliston High School. Christopher currently serves on the education committee, the scholarship committee, and the foundation for educational excellence, for the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association.
He has been working for Ahronian Landscaping & Design for 15 years. Rob has an excellent eye for detail and is knowledgeable about all the services we offer as a company. Robs excellent leadership and communication skills are a huge asset to the company. Rob has his Mass. Hoisting License and is a licensed Mass. Pesticide Applicator.
Tom has been working for Ahronian Landscaping & Design for the last 14 years. He is a graduate of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture with a degree in Landscape Contracting. During his time with the company he has developed a strong attention to detail and artistry with stone. Toms knowledge and expertise within the field provides an outstanding finished product that he takes great pride in. Tom has obtained a Mass. Hoisting License.
Jon has been working for Ahronian Landscaping & Design since 2016 and has been working in the industry for the last 16 years. Jon has been a great addition to our team and is a very talented mason. Ryan has worked for Ahronian Landscaping & Design for 2 years and has been working in the industry for 15 years. Ryan is extremely energetic and passionate about his job. Doug has been with Ahronian Landscaping & Design since 2011 and has been working in the industry for 12 years. Doug’s knowledge in plant health care and horticulture are beneficial to the company. Doug is always eager to learn something new and is often taking classes to sharpen his skills. Doug is a Mass. Certified Horticulturist, a licensed Mass. Pesticide Applicator, has a Mass. Hoisting License, and has obtained a Class B CDL.
